Are you driving the car pool this week? Bring some laughter to your commute with a fun, easy Halloween costume for your car!
You’ve probably seen the team flags that close into car windows. Repurpose a couple with some craft foam and heavy duty glue to build a pair of cat ears. A long knee sock stuffed with cotton makes a good tail for the trunk. Whatever you use should be long enough to close a hefty section in your trunk for security but not so long it reaches the ground. Looking for something a little scarier? Good, washable car art paint will let you ‘zombify’ your ride without risking your paint job. Use a dry sponge to dab green over your car, then tone it down with gray to make the zombie base. Line your headlights with black for a wild-eyed look. Drip red paint from your grill, add some splashes along the side, and you’re set! Green automotive painter’s tape is another great tool. Make a pair of tape spectacles around your headlights and add a lightning bolt “scar” for a geeky costume that will make kids laugh. If you’re feeling nostalgic, outline a Pac-Man screen on your hood and use a little car chalk to draw the characters. You can order car lashes or vampire fangs online, but designing your own costume is easy and fun. Get inspired by our ideas to find a road safe way to share your spooky spirit.
