The Importance Of Using Original Parts

January 21, 2019 by Jim Hensley Leave a Comment

Using original parts for your vehicle, manufactured by the original automaker, just makes sense if you want added insurance your parts will last.

Protect your investment by choosing only authentic, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Below are a few of the reasons why choosing original parts is always the right decision.

You get what you pay for

Aftermarket parts may be cheaper than original parts, but there are reasons for that. Parts are not cheaper just because the seller feels charitable. Many times, it’s because the manufacturer isn’t making a part with the same quality as the OEM part. To this end, the old saying truly does apply here: you get what you pay for.

That isn’t to say manufacturers aren’t making quality parts. Certainly, there are non-OEM parts that will work well. It’s really a matter of preference. Do you trust the company selling the parts? Would you rather an original part?

Guaranteed warranty

One of the reasons aftermarket parts are cheaper is because they simply do not provide any kind of warranty whatsoever. If something happens to the part, you may be out of luck because they will likely only take the part back at their discretion. With an original part from GM Outlet Parts, you will always have a guaranteed warranty that ensures you’re going to get a true OEM part replacement.

Peace of mind

Saving a lot of money by buying aftermarket auto parts may seem like a smart decision, but how reliable are they really? You never truly know where the auto part is being manufactured, meaning it could stop functioning properly at any moment. Is this really worth the amount of stress you’re going to be feeling as you drive your vehicle?

Moreover, once the part starts wearing and showing signs of needing to be replaced once again, you never really know how long its’s going to last until it breaks down again. With an OEM part, you will have the peace of mind to know the part was designed exactly with your vehicle in mind – exactly as the manufacturer intended.

Quality of aftermarket parts varies

The manufacturer of your automobile knows which parts work best. An aftermarket parts provider, though professional and knowledgeable as they may be, cannot provide you with the same quality auto parts that you’re going to find in original parts straight from the manufacturer.

There simply is not a guarantee any aftermarket provider can make that’s as strong as the guarantee you will find straight from the manufacturer. That’s why we take pride in providing only the best, original auto parts for your GM automobile!
